Executive Summary
Objectives
To assist the World Meteorological Organisation to have better methodologies available and adopted to improve hydrological practices and data collection in developing countries.
Methodology
Maintenance of up-to-date set of UK HOMS hydrological packages (handbook, computer programmes, reports, etc.); encouraging development of more UK packages; handling requests, especially from developing countries; Publicising HOMS within the UK and overseas.
Results
Number of requests processed and incorporation of new packages increases every year.
Conclusions
Valuable technology-transfer service provided to aid the management of water resources all over the world.
